Where are the footprints?

  • Praia da Salema (West Zone)
    Here you can find footprints of sauropod dinosaurs — large long-necked herbivores that walked on these rocks millions of years ago. The footprints are well preserved near the coast, at the base of the stairs leading to the far west end of the beach.

  • Praia da Salema (East Zone)
    In this area, there are several fossilized footprints, including those of theropods (bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs), in addition to the sauropods. An excellent place to explore with family and learn about different species.
